QC tester - Q.C. Technician: (work afternoon shift 1PM - 9PM)) QC Tech Position/Food Manufacturing

(Oakland, CA)

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

o Participate and report on pre-operational and operational audit programs

o Prepare and collect samples for laboratory testing

o Carry out line checks and all verification processes

o Verify all critical control points and control points for all processes in accordance

with plant HACCP and GMP programs

o Assist in the monitoring finished product specifications; monitor, maintain and report

finished goods hold logs

o Perform essential food safety checks on prescribed frequency

o Carry out microbiological and chemical analytical tests on finished goods, monitor

micro levels environmental and equipment surfaces

o Prepare pre-shipment approval reports

o Perform verification and monitoring of the HACCP, SSOP and GMP programs along with

other necessary paperwork

o Prepare and perform sensory evaluation of finished products daily

o Check all production lines daily to give sensory and technical directions to production to

ensure consistency of product quality as necessary to establish regular ongoing quality

performance on production lines

o Perform evaluation of manufactured finished products

o Use technical equipment to verify the quality of in process production items as well as finished

products

o Comply with all company policies and procedures

o Perform projects at the instruction of the QC/QA Manager

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

o Level of education High School completed, College plus

o Fluent oral and written English

o Experience in the food industry a plus

o Understanding of GMPs, HACCP and FDA regulations

o HACCP certified

o SQF certified (plus)

o Must be proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)

o Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time

o Easy to work in teams

o Flexible hours of Monday to Friday

o Ability to work in cold and normal temperatures

o Ability to taking courses

o Good level of mathematics and statistics
