Job Description:
Compensation: $33.65 - $57.00 per hour based on experienceThe
position will be either remote, and/or reporting to one of our
western United States offices (Santa Rosa, CA; Ferndale, CA; Mesa,
AZ; Draper, UT). Work occurs throughout the western United
States.JOB SUMMARY: The Planner position will provide environmental
planning expertise to lead or assist in obtaining local, state
and/or federal permits for projects related to the energy,
telecommunications, water, or mining industries.ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable

- Complete tasks associated with NEPA, CEQA or other local, state
and federal permitting
- Research requirements for a variety of local, state and federal
permits
- Collaborate with staff, agencies, clients and other project
collaborators to facilitate permit submittals and schedules
- Synthesize and communicate permit stipulations and
requirements
- Track and organize permit processes and status
- Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with
Wright's and Eocene Environmental's culture of safety and employee
ownership.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules,
and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company
policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and

travel.JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in environmental planning and/or a
closely related discipline
- Strong knowledge of NEPA and/or CEQA
- Ability to perform work duties independently and efficiently
with short deadlines
- Highly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable,
and trustworthy
- Ability to interact and coordinate with state, federal, local,
and tribal agencies
- Note-taking ability
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform
job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and
vendorsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with or for federal, state, or local
agencies is a plus
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Familiarity with typical utility operations and maintenance
activities
- Familiarity with Salesforce and ESRI GIS applications
(including desktop, ArcGIS, Collector, Survey123, etc.)
- Excellent navigation skills and good driving record
- Experience driving a four-wheel drive vehicle off-road or in
