TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES (TES) CUSTODIAN

This position is subject to completion of a Pre-Placement Medical Exam provided by Employee Health Services, at no charge to the applicant.This position is subject to medical surveillance procedures and review in accordance with Federal and State Laws and regulations and University Policy.Must complete mandatory training, including HIPAA Privacy and Security training, within the first 15 days of your first assignment.May work with or be exposed to very sick patients and hazardous wastes (e.g., blood, body fluids, biohazard, pharmacy waste, chemo waste, needles and other sharp waste)Must be available to work variable shifts: days/hours (weekends, holidays, overtime, etc.) and float to other units/areas/buildings.May work alone in buildings; in isolated areas; travel from building to building at night; and /or in a building with heavy traffic.May work in areas where hazardous materials are present.A valid CA Driver's License may be required.This position may require participating in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System.May be required to wear uniform and/or protective clothing and/or gear.Personally responsible for following safety procedures and guidelines.May be required to operate auto scrubbers, wet vacuums, upholstery shampoo machines, carpet extractors and buffers to maintain floors and furniture.UC Davis is a smoke and tobacco free campus effective January 1, 2014.
