About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated, contract Director of Retail Marketing who has the leadership and vision to drive the development and execution of our in-store marketing and merchandising strategy. This individual will lead our in-store signage, shop-in-shop, fixture & merchandising programs. This position reports to the VP, Omnichannel Marketing. The person in this position should have the ability to establish and drive retail strategy, lead cross functional teams and initiatives, and communicate with all levels of the business are critical in this role.
This is a temporary 9 - 12-month contract position, providing coverage for a team member's maternity leave.
You'll Make a Difference By

  • Leading the strategy behind Ariat retail and shop-in-shop programs, identifying & driving program enhancements and assisting in the execution of shop roll outs
  • Overseeing the creative development and distribution of in-store materials, promotions, catalogs and order forms.
  • Leading the design, development, and production of a new retail fixture and signage program, partnering with global teams to ensure alignment
  • Managing all fixture production logistics from material set-up to assembly instructions
  • Working cross-functionally to build inventory and buy plans to support key programs
  • Collaborating with Sales Team to build seasonal shop and fixture forecasts
  • Partnering with Planning team to create a process flow and new planning tool to drive weekly demand forecasting to ensure adequate supply
  • Working with Finance to review forecasts, fixture re-order proposals, quarterly reserves, and monthly budget reconciliation
  • Overseeing management of our Third Party merchandisers and seasonal graphic refreshes in store
  • Collaborating cross functionally between Brand, Sales, Account Analysts, Distribution and Creative teams to align on and execute plans according to timelines
  • Creating retail guidelines to set global standards for licensing and international partners
  • Developing and maintaining the Retail Marketing budget

    About You
    • Must have 5+ years' retail marketing experience
    • Proven ability to manage direct reports and provide business updates to senior leadership
    • Experience in design and development of in-store experiences
    • Thoughtful and adaptive strategic thinker who can interpret needs and present solutions
    • Attention to detail, high degree of organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams and a worldwide supply base
    • Highly driven with a positive, team-oriented attitude and learning mindset
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook a must. Adobe Professional experience a plus.
    • BA or BS required.

      The hourly rate for this position is between $60.00 - $80.00 per hour. The hourly rate is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
      This contract position may be eligible for select benefits through the payrolling agency. Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance options and 401k.
